Hungryfreak's Jazz Compilation

Need I explain jazz? It's many things. One of the most complex genres and one of the most free genres. Jazz generally involves brass, percussion and wind instruments with bass pulling them together, though that isn't to say there aren't exceptions. Jazz could have set compositions or complete improvisation, depending on the artists and songs. Sometimes it even wraps around a familiar tune and uses that as a main piece to build upon. It is a rather amazing and beautiful genre. But don't take my word for it:

  1. Miles Davis - Freddie Freeloader
  2. Chick Corea - Light  As A Feather
  3. Charles Mingus - Better Git Hit In Your Soul
  4. Thelonius Monk - 'Round Midnight
  5. Dave Brubeck - Take 5
  6. John Coltrane - Greensleeves

There's always that one key song that gets you interested in a certain type of music. "Take Five" by Dave Brubeck is the one that got me interested in jazz...(good song).
