Atomic Rooster was an English Progressive Rock band that was formed by ex-Crazy World of Arthur Brown members (Vincent Crane and Carl Palmer). They were formed in 1969 and their debut album was Atomic Roooster released in 1970. Though the band would continue on afterwards, this was their only album with this distinct sound, having very little guitar edge to the songs, mostly being organ, drums, and bass. Carl Palmer would leave this group while they started working on their second albums o he could join Keith Emerson and Greg Lake with their progressive rock supergroup project ELP.
