Melvins

The Melvins were many things. Though their music is mostly rooted in sludge metal, they never stuck to a single genre and moved in between a selection from doom derivatives to alternative to the hardcore punk they had since the beginning and more. They are best known as the godfathers of grunge, but also had some influence over sludge and drone metal.
